Typical Hoo$ier price gouging.

In the autox/road racing world they make the lightest stickiest tires, and their awareness of that fact is reflected in their prices.

I can't wait for another company to give them some decent competition...

there the only other drag radial company thats makes them in a 225/50/15 size. the smallest sizes from m/t in a radial is the 235/60/15 i believe. im almost wondering if it would be cheaper to just run slicks on the street, slicks are on 2 grooves away from a hoosier tread pattern.

there was another post about these tires and how someone drove 2 miles on them and they just fell apart. heres the post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1170024

eric the point is this tire will have a sidewall that isnt as weak as a bias ply and if you are goin to run a full slick on the street you might as well strip the car.

I think that the tires that fell apart have other issue other than quality. and this tire will qualify for a street tire record

im not to worried about sidewall strength, im not gonna autocross the car with these tires. i just want something that hooks up. if i can get my suspension worked out i'll get a set of M&H tires but as of right now it looks like i'll be running a smaller tire again for my net set.

That guy is me.

Me and my buddy tested Hoosiers prototype drag radial last season. they were 205/45R16's. got a best 1.92 60ft. Great quality tire and well worth the price. I just ran there brand new 225/50R16 drag radial this past saturday at street wars. It was the first time on the tires and on my new turbo setup. i need to get used to launching this turbo, but these tires stuck great... best 60ft was a 2.05 and i ran a best of 13.14 @ 109.25. these tires should run 1.8's and 1.9 60fts no problem.

best part about them is there DOT Radial approved... you can run them at street tire only events.

if you have any question about them and where to get them, email me @ ringles@teamxxxracing.com.

Apparently the guy bought them from Tirerack, so they weren't the drag radials. Tirerack doesn't sell them, just the road course and autox tires, which look identical.

I have the drag radials, and if my local track would stop canceling T&T for one reason or another, I'll run them and post a review. I normally run Hoosier 24.5x8x13 wrinkle-wall slicks, so that's what I'll be comparing them to.

The Hoosiers that are available now are:

225/50R16
255/50R16
275/40R17

the 335/35R17's are in production now.

the 2 15" tires will hopefully be in production shortly.

I finally tried them, and they are great, better than my Hoosier slicks. I only got my 60' down to 1.9, but I only made a few launches before I fried my engine. I should have it lower than that after I get some new pistons and get a few more launches in so I can get a good feel for them. They are much better in 3rd gear, I pulled harder and they are a lot more stable at high speed.
