I'll drop my input....
Climate control: Should snap right in. just flip the cable that opens the heater door towards the pass. side instead of the drivers side.
Cig Lighter/Ash Tray: I think this is where you're stuck. I've fiddled with this part and started shaving the console itself to make room for the ash tray. Fact of the matter is, you'll have to shave the ash tray on the right side to follow the shifter consoles contour. Trace the edge of your USDM cig lighter on a piece of paper. use that as a template to follow while you shave the ash tray panel. Then, to mount it down, make a brace using a piece of flat stock and screw it into one of the exsisting holes. Then drill a new hole for a screw to lock into that matches the JDM mounting holes. FInally, cut the 2 tabs that are supposed to clip into the center part of the dash. TOTAL mutilation, its almost not worth the trouble. I can snap pictures if you're seriously going to do this.
Shifter plate: If you must use this as well, be sure you're willing to live with slight gaps and/or irregular fitment. I just seated the shifter plate into the console and shaved areas with a dremel until it fit. Was not perfect, but it sat in there.
For USDM parts: Check the classifieds. Be patient and make sure you're not buying JDM type r pieces....or you'll run into the same dilemna.
Hit me up at one of my contacts if you need further assistance. Goood Luck!
