Default swap help

i just installed my d16z6. the engine fires up but has no throttle response. if you hold down the throttle (wot)it will take bout 5-10 sec before the rpm starts to rise. during initial fire up the rpm shot up to 4500 rpm. im still running od0. no codes what so ever. im stumped. there is also alot of backfire when the engine warms up. goin to check timing tomorrow. any help will be greatly appreciated.
