I had a oil change done late....ok.....about 4000 miles too late......my question is, would this cause oil to burn? Because I don't have a oil leak and it only drained 1 1/2Qt on the and it had no oil on the dipstick. But 8 months ago duriong the smog cheack they said no oil is being burned out the engine. I am wondering if waiting so long could have killed off some of the oil.

That was not the smartest thing to wait 4000+ miles past the initial 3k to change the oil. That most likely had a lot to do with your car burning a lot of oil.
