I have a mild LsVTEC with a GSR tranny in my EJ1 with an Erick's racing ROM with a slightly modded ITR map.

I am running some huge tires...(205/40/17), so my speedo is off a little, therefore the milage also.

But, I just went 315 miles according to the odometer (which is about right according to mapquest ) on the freeway, then filled it up and it only took 8.2 gallons.




that's like 38 miles a gallon!

WTF!!!!

this is the second time I have gotten insane gas mileage! last time I did freeway driving I got almost 36mph!
Is this even physicallly possible? I mean, there is only so much free energy in the thermodynamics of burning fuel.
is it running really lean or what? anyone else have this happen?

I have fuel pressure around 39 lbs...maybe it's the rom? car runs great, no pinging, detonation or anything.

I'm still like WTF!?!?
