Default trap speed as hp indicator? ran my swapped coupe

I have a very mild LsVTEC in my EJ1.

The car has full interior,a/c and ps.

I need a lot more practicing launching, since my 60ft's were in the 2.4 range on cheap *** big o tires.

The car trapped at 96mph and ran a 14.9 at Firebird Raceway here in Phx.
Some peeps say the trap is good, and should be running a lot faster with a better launch....some peeps say that is about right.

anyone have any first had experience or knowledge?
and any approx hp numbers from that? I was thinking around somewhere in the 160's to the wheels.

I am going to try and get the 60ft's down a little...

MPH looks good for a very low 14/high 13 sec. pass. Only the dyno will know the WHP numbers

you can guestimate whp w/ your trap speed if you know the weight of vehicle
w/ you in it

no way its goin to hit 13s with 96mph trap speed unless hes pullin 1.8 60s then his trap speed is goin to drop too. in my old GSR powered 99 EX coupe i ran 14.5@95 on a 2.0 60'. i also ran 14.5 same car with a 2.2 60' so potentially i could have bested prolly 14.0-14.2.

dunno if this will help... But I trap at 102mph in a 2,210lb car. I weigh 180lbs. Thats a high 13 second pass there for me, but then again, I have some serious traction issues.

dang you guys got some quick rides!

I trapped 106 mph with a shot of juice on some heavy lame 17"s. only ran a 14.1 though! that's gotta be the worst run in history. I bring shame to the import scene! hope not many peeps saw that run.

60ft's own me....2.5 60ft

i need to get some launching skillzzz

already pulled the NOS kit from the car, it was just for a few laughs.

"bottles are for babaies"

which reminds, got my 10lb bottle for sale
