Advanced timing on ITR w/out fuel controller???
its kinda of a dumb question but i have search to to avail....
will there be a problem with advancing the ITRs stock timing to say 16-18 degrees using the distributor without the help of a fuel controller..ie VAFC
can i run it like that with stock fuel settings and have no problems
thank you for taking time to read my post

The recommended timing for an ITR is 16degrees advanvced +/- 2degrees. I have mine set at 18degrees.
A VAFC does not allow you advance the timing, you HAVE to do it by turning the distributor anyway.

You should be fine by advancing the timing without a fuel controller. Many people have done it in the past, myself included, without problem. It usually yields good results as well.
some tuners dont recommend advance timing with the distributor cause they say it will alter the A/F and its better to put it in 16 degrees while tunning with VAFC or HONDATA.. is it good if u advance the distributor without dyno?
