Default Tax Money Exhaust..

Hey peoples....

I got my tax return and out of the three things I need right now; Exhaust, Suspension and Hood, I am choosing to pay for the exhaust myself. I've discussed w/ you before but now that I have my measly dollars from the threasury, I want to re-debate the best option.

Alot of catback exhausts I see online are $300-500. I'd like to keep it under $300. My friend suggessted the ebay units but those fools want like $100 for shipping, which I will not pay. I know I should just keep looking around online - I should find something, but does anyone know of any 2.25" Catback Exhaust deals online?

None of my local shops do mandrel bent and I'd end up replacing the crushed bent stuff. I know I get what I pay for so no need to bash me about that, and I actually need one soon, not trying to wait for a classified posting. If you know of any deals, thats what this thread is for, thanks!

i had muffler shop special non mandrel bent exhaust piping on my 95 GSR teg
with just a couple of bolt-ons(i/h/e/pp in. mani./port matched tb, clutchw/ss) and i ran mid-high 14's, so i dont think that type of piping is too bad then just buy an axel back section to put on

Does a muffler have to cost this much?
http://www.kteller.com/store/p...d/629

I was looking into a tubing kit and muffler from kteller then I'd need to pay the local muffler shop to install it all. Nobody around here has mandrel bent.

the 2.25 oval muffler is not priced too bad but what are they gonna charge for shipping? You can hit any local shop and get one for about $100-$150 depending on what you want w/ no shipping needed

I would just get a decent muffler and take it to an exhaust shop and have them do everything...not having mandrel bent piping is only gonna cost you 1hp maybe 2 max im sure! if you want mandrel bent i would deffinatley go with kteller. But its up to you i guess...

www performancepeddler.com....everything has free shipping and the prices are insanely low. You can either buy a magnaflow or buy some of the pieces and do it yourself. I got a magnaflow stainless muffler without a tip for 58 bucks shipped

Are you saying yours is stainless and has not rusted or that it is non-stainless and has not rusted?

I would avoid Paceshitter. When I had an Accord, a lot of 3G owners were using it because they were virtually the only company that made a bolt-on system for their chassis. There were a lot of complaints about fitment and quality issues. For one, they were saying some hangers didn't line up correctly, and the material rusted out quickly, or the paint on the piping would burn off. Those exhausts are cheap for a reason.

Not to send the thread in another direction, but I think you should consider spending your hard earned money on a basic suspension upgrade before an exhaust. It will make your car ALOT more fun to drive. An exhaust will do nothing for power, you have an EX right?

My current exhaust needs to be replaced immidately, it's falling apart. This morning had to pay $65 to get my f*ckin muffler re-attached b/c I couldn't do it myself. The suspension is next on the list actually anyway.

Anyway, Apexi Doesn't make a World Sport 2 for my Civic Sedan???!??!!?
I thought I had decided on one and now here I come to find out they don't make it for a sedan? Those bums. Would the one for the 2dr fit?

You see my sig? Follow the appropriate link in it. If that exhaust is made for the 1992-2000 Civic coupe, then. . . . Well, read through my thread to make your own deductions.

P.S.--Yes, it will fit.
