Default 93' Prelude starting problem, need help!!!!!

I have a 93' Prelude si non-vtec. I am having problems starting her up. It won't start on its own and I have to spray some of those carb cleaner into the intake pipe near the intake manifold to start her up. Sometimes it would start then will bog and die. Has anyone encountered this before? Anyone have any idea of how this can be fix?

I would get a fuel pressure gauge and check your fuel pressure, then if you have pressure check for volume. Have you replaced your fuel filter? they can cause a restriction. Also check for spark, your cap could be cracked. But 1st do a visual inspection and look for vacuum leaks , those rubber hoses get old and dry then crack. good luck. get a chilton shop manual $20 from napa

Start with the simple routine maintenance stuff.

Word. I've had a chilton's and it doesn't give you squat. I downloaded the helms and it is much much better.

i had this same problem with an h23 as well. I had to spray gas into the throttle body to get it to crank up. It was crap! so you know right then it is a fuel related issue. there is no gas getting past the injectors. Run down the system starting with the fuel pump. If you hear it buzz when you turn the key on, then it is fine. Then check out the fuel filter. If your car has a lot of miles on it anyway and it has never been replaced, you may as well just go ahead and replace it and know that it is good. I wouldnt expect the Fuel pressure regulator to be bad, but if you have a spare one, then change them out. And then to your injectors. I had a problem once with an f22 that i had put into an accord where the injectors were actually stuck and wouldnt let any gas in. Now you would physically pull out the injectors and let them spray into a jar or something (most people would not prefere this because it is unsafe. I fixed mine by adding a bottle of fuel system cleaner and it fixed it right up.
