Default No compression in cylinder #1

Ok, here's the deal. I was driving my car home about a week ago and it started sputtering really bad and running like crap. When i would come to a stop it would idle at about 100 rpm's and just about die. So i get home and shut it off. When I try to start it later, the engine vibrates horribly. I can definitely hear it missing bad. So i replace the spark plugs and the wires, making sure they're in the right order. Still nothing. So i do a compression test, all the cylinders are holding at about 150-160 except for #1 which won't even register

Could this possibly be bent valves? Because my valvetrain has been ticking really bad lately, even after a valve lash adjustment. The car is a stock H23 w/ 132,000 miles. Please help me and tell me it aint a piston or ring lol. Thanks.

yup sounds like a bad valve if the others have good compression..

A cylinder leakdown test will help you identify what is wrong.

Try adding a teaspoon of oil into the #1 spark plug hole and if you get a reading that mean you piston rings are worn or broken.

Burnt exhaust valve bro....happend on my f22 ..ran , but it ran like crap..pull the head ....should find a small piece burnt off one of the valves...letting all compression to escape...easy fix for a machine shop....

Do a cylinder leakdown test. If you have seen it done, after you hook up the equipment with the air compressor. Pull the exhaust off, turn the crankshaft to TDC and and listen on the the #1 for air leak form the exhaust hole...."Be carefull the air will turn the crankshaft so try to hold it still on TDC"
