newbie to honda need help
hey guys u just recently got a 88-91 civic hatch and i'm looking to put in a b18c . let's say i had the b18c engine,tranny,ecu and wire harness. what are the best motor mounts i could use? what would be the major mods i would have to make to the car or motor? should i use the b18c tranny or go for another tranny? what are my options? sorry for the sh*tload of questions. any help is appreciated. BTW its a b18c out of a 98+ up integra type-r

hm...I don't know too much about EFs.
Actually you posted your question in the EG+ forum, but if you post in the EF forum you'll definitely get a lot of helpful information from the experts there.
As far as i know though, you don't need any major "mods" to your car, or the motor. maybe just some misc. electrical stuff. For example the 98 motor you're dropping in is OBDII, so..
As far as the tranny goes, it's up to you, depends on what kind of gearing and driveability you're into. That tranny from the 98 type-r is my favorite, actually. it comes with the best final drive ratio (4.785) which helps with acceleration pretty significantly, i'd say. the only thing i didn't like was the 5th gear was a little longer than the 96-97 ITR trannies. It's a good tranny, though, IMO, and you'll be getting a factory installed LSD, which most other b-series trannies can't really boast.
