New setup makes 377whp, 333wtq!!
i swapped out the type sh block/tranny for a non-sh tranny/block with 89mm GE Godzilla-sleeved, Eagle Rods, CP 9:1 pistons, and i just changed the driveshafts as well, although the type sh's seemed to work. I just needed some new ones. I switched from AEM EMS with which i made 266whp, 197wtq on 7psi, to a Hondata S200b..........and switched from 680cc injectors to 880cc injectors. i also got a greddy profec b to control the boost. the torque feels amazing. i finally feel like i have a fast car.
this summer i plan to get the power over the 500whp mark and 400wtq. maybe one day i'll have the fastest 5th gen.......watch out guys.
Oh yea.......this 377whp and 333wtq was made on 20psi.........would have been more if it wasn't tuned with a 2.25" exhaust. Now i have 3" exhaust.

Plans to swap in a bigger turbo?

377/333 at 20psi... definitly see a higher flowing turbo and manifold in your future.
Damn, you've got my dream block.

Kind of odd hearing someone switching from AEM EMS to hondata.. that's a downgrade in my peoples book.

It seems like good AEM EMS tuners are hard to come buy.

well.......this tune was on a 2.25" exhaust........and i have a 3" exhaust now. that was probably one of the main factors keeping the power down at this boost level. the turbo (t3 SC61) will flow tons more, and maybe the mani (SFP) isn't the best, but it has a lot more potential as well. As far as switching from AEM EMS to Hondata.........that's an upgrade in my peoples' book. not only is it cheaper........but it's easier to tune, and i see better, smoother results. St00pid (Jason) is not a big AEM fan, and pretty much will guarantee you that if you have AEM vs. Hondata on the same setup.......he can tune the Hondata better. Maybe there are others who are better with the AEM, but Hondata works great.

Good times bro, but there are already like big powered 5th gens out there.

yea, but after this summer i should be able to make some huge power. the fastest 5th gen i've heard of is an 11.20, i think it is pretty realistic to exceed that. maybe not after this summer, but after next.

I don't know if your running and H22 or H23 w/ that, but keep on plugging. There is definitely a problem in your system if you are *only* making 377whp (h22) w/ an sc61. I've seen people easily passing 400whp @ 14psi on an SC-61. Go get it retuned w/ that new exhaust. Most people run 2.5" on all-motor b16s for god's sakes.
Nice numbers though.

your gonna be ripping axles apart at that kind of power.
If you dont mind me asking, how much have you sunk into this car ? im asking simply for reference on my other projects.

Not to down your #'s , but for 20 psi they seem low. I dont know why people keep saying you should get a better flowing turbo or switch it out. sc61 are know to be somewhat of an effecient turbo and have no problems hitting 500whp. I think you should get a different manifold and a e-cutout that would help out alot. Keep up the good work.
Nothing's too impressive, but nice work nonetheless.
You swapped out the AEM EMS for Hondata?
You only made 377WHP on a SC61, and blame it on the 2.25" exhaust? Why didn't you just drop the pipes and run open downpipe? Bad things happen when you let the turbo get very restricted.....

Yep... that pretty much sums it up.
89mm is a bit on the large side... if anything goes wrong with the pistons or scarring of the cylinder walls kiss that block byebye unless you have the MID sleeves in it.
As far as the EMS is concerned... the EMS is only as good as its tuner. AEM is way more advanced than hondata. For a regular daily driven car AEM EMS is really not necessary for the majority of people out there.

well......i'm not going to not buy the block (which i got a pretty good deal on) just because it's bored to 89mm. and unless something does actually happen, there's no problem with it being that size. till then i'll keep smokin' them vettes.
