b16 DA? yup i love it.. Except my Ecu is bugging me.. GRRR

I got my 00 JDM ITR camshaft/gears/retainers/springs and injectors laying next to me ready to drop her into the b16..

Yes im gonna use the stock 00 itr camgears cause i dont have enough Mulla for some str cam gears *GRRR*

Im gonna rewire my ecu again and hopefully it works.. advance my timing a lil bit more... also

My XSi came from the factory with a B16. IMO the DA is too big a car for the b16, it goes ok but if I was going to swap in an engine I would go for a B18C

i like my b16. goes alot quicker than it did with the LS.

i like the buildability of the b16 compared to the LS. theres more factory part options to choose when building the motor.

Go for it, it's the way forward ! I'm curently (I know I know its dragging out a bit now!) converting a DA to a B16a. It should be cool, some of the JDm's came with B16a's in them.

i use to have a DA before my ls vtec and damn that thing was dog dog slow
but after siting is so many turbo honda's i think all NA honda's 4 bangers are dag slow expically my car although i'm at 200whp.

well a DA is about 50 pounds lighter than a 99si so it should be about the same speed as that. high end should be a little faster than a ls but the low end driving around town sucks really bad

i say build an ls for turbo or nitrous or put a gsr cause a b16 doesnt have enough torque to pull that car i had a b16 didnt like it....but an ls with a b16 tranny is ok

As long as you dont run an LS tranny with the B16 in a DA it'll be fine. Ive ridden in B16 DA's with S1 and YS1 trannies and theyre pretty damn quick. The short gearing makes up for the lack of torque.
