Default Newer model civic question (engine)

I heard from friends that are into civics that the newer models are alot slower due to different engine.... i was told a stock 95 ex would beat a 03 ex which seemed a lil odd to me. If you have the time it would be appreciated if you could post some changes in the ex models or a link would be great. Im sorry if it can easily be found because im trying but not coming across anything.

yes thats true but EX has ULEV - ultra low emission vehicle so thats why the engine is slow. Honda is trying to make this engine economical, not sporty.

EX is slow, i know cause i have one. SCREW EX get SI if your in the price range
