Hi everybody i am a new Integra owner and im glad i found this website to chat about tegras. I have a 2000 gs, with about 20 000 miles on it.
Well i had it for about 3 months and a dumb lady hits me, goes thru red light and hit me. My car had the front bumper broken, right fender, and the intake box in the bottom. Now as i want to replace the bumper and the fender, im looking in to buying the AEM short ram intake since the intake box is broken and i do not feel like replacing. As you can see i am a total newbie to all this so i was wondering if it is actually worth it getting the AEM by itself since i do not want to replace the stock intake(box and the pipe beside the right fender)
Thankxx everyone

that sucks, sorry ur first had to suck. since she hit u from the right side and broke ur intake box, u may also want to check ur intake mani to make sure that when she hit u the intake which connects to the throttle body and IM didn't move/warp/or become loose.
now as far as the intake ? why not just get a CAI and make more power that way? aem comps and v2's are great. and iv also heard good things about the weapon R's. but im personally more of a aem which is why i have the v2

Wor of advice, do searches for any questions that you may have...if you make dumb posts/topics with out searching, everyone will flame you....lol, just a heads up since some h-t members are A HOLES!
As for your question, I dont know your plans for your car, but you will be pleased with an aem intake. Theres the short ram version and the cold air version. If you live in an area that rains a lot, then definately avoid the cold air and stick with a short ram intake.

right. since your front bumper is already macked, youre going to have to take it off anyways. so, when you take it off rip out the bottom air box. its pretty self-explanitory; just look around for the bolts.
oh and take their advice, search. people are ******** and would rather waste a post to make you feel like an idiot than give you an answer to your question. welcome to h-t.

i have the aem cai. impressed with the noise at WOT (as are unsuspecting lane-blocking a-holes on the freeway).
if you plan on staying mostly stock stick with the cai or short ram. if youre going to be doing a lot more to your car, save your money for now. youll appreciate it later.
