Default Suggestion about Spoon N1 B-pipe??

Need some advice for the diameter of the B-pipe!! I got a Spoon N1 muffler in hand and I need to custom build a B-pipe, so just need some ideas about what diameter I should use??? And I don't want the N1 to be too loud and I know the only way is to control the size of the B-pipe....so please suggest??

Why don't you get a spoon or t1r b-pipe?

yes thats what im using, Spoon B-pipe, and it sounds deep and nice!!. and it comes with rasenator so it quiets down the sound already. custom piping are always straight and makes it louder
anyways, the Spoon B-pipe should be 2.38in in size

custom piping is not always just straight. That is what custom is all about. You can get resonators made or decide not to do them at all.

can they custom made a pipe exactly the same as the Spoon B pipe? In that case, the price will cut down a lot. Also, the muffler shop tell me for 2.38" pipe only comes in Aluminum. If I choose Stainless Steel then the pipe will be 2.25" so is that true and Will that make a lot of different? Thx

LOL I guess you haven't priced out having 409SS pipe mandrel bent, SS resonator and TIG welded up with OEM type SS flanges. You'll end up spending just as much or more than a nicer readily available B pipe replacement like a T1R. I'd suggest just getting a T1R B pipe.
BTW If you were to make a Custom B pipe I'd go with 2.5" pipe over 2.25" any day.

if ur getting T1R b-pipe there are bottle neck at the flange..(i know web-site says no bottle neck.i e-mailed them)

T1R 63mm(2.5inch) Power Exhaust comes with B-pipe that has no bottle neck at the flange

Spoon b-pipe? keep the money man..check out kteller for custom pipe too

the spoon b-pipe is a work of art though...perfect welds and bends

it's also pretty lightweight

Have you seen a Spoon b pipe in person?

If not, it's quite asinine to comment on it, having no first hand experience with it.

If I had to do it again, I'd still buy the Spoon b pipe over both T1R and KTeller.

My $0.02.

I have a spoon b-pipe and so does a friend of mine, and after a few hundred miles both started to rattle.
It does have a bottleneck on the connection to the muffler.

I'm not suprised, from what I have been told they have been having problems with their resonators for awhile.

Honestly 99% of the people worrying about "Bottlenecks" might as well worry about the sky falling too. On something like the T1R we aren't talking about a True bottleneck which would be if you had a pipe that went from 2.5" down to say 2.25" but the 2.25" section is longer than say an inch (like tanabes which have about 5-7" of 2" pipe) The T1R and a few others out there "Neck Down" so they can use oem type flanges which is a MUST if you are making a B pipe or Axleback that is interchangeable with oem parts.

Sure it takes a lot of science to install a b-pipe

so the bottle neck on the t1r/spoon b-pipe and spoon axle back, doesn't effect anything?
i have a t1r b-pipe and spoon n1 axle back....very high quality pieces, by the way...

It's not a "Bottle neck" (I really don't like that term) it simply necks down for less than an inch to mate to an oem type flange at the cat and at the axleback, everywhere else it is 63mm. I'd say at least 75% of the people using that system are not at a point where such a small change would make any significant difference in power and if it would they should probably run something larger that can flow even more like a 3" or 70mm exhaust. Even then I can't see it causing more than 1-2 hp Max difference in those 25% it could affect. (BTW The 25% I would refer too are either FI or have a Ton of NA upgrades including very high comp, big cams etc)
