Anyone put a knock sensor on a z6...i've seen a few posts but nothing too inspiring.

What if i threaded one into the location of the coolant plug on back of block on a z6...decent placement? If i can remember on a y8 block the knock sensor end is open to the water jacket to pick up the sound.

I'm going to try and find the thread size of that rear plug so i can fab up a B-series plug to insert there. We'll see!

Apexi Power FC...right now i have the knock warning off so it's not a prob, but I'll need it come hot summer days with 12.25:1 compression.

 

Anyone have a pic or mind taking a pic of the back of a Z6 block where the rear coolant plug is located?

If someone has one lying around PM me i'm trying to find the thread size of that rear coolant plug and it's exact location.
