H22 Civic suspension questions
I have a h22 civic that a friend and i did the swap last summer... I don't plan on autocrossing it all the time because this winter/next summer its hopefully going to be boosted *crosses fingers* and im going keep it mainly as a drag car
i have tein super streets on it right now but that is all that is done to the suspension... what do you guys recommend for suspension mods to get it ready for autocross? im taking a 2 day class just to learn some techniques and i want to get it ready
im thinking a front strut bar, rear tie bar, sway bar... what else would be worth the money? and what companies make them?
any input is appreciated
edit: its a 5th gen hatch

ive got an h22 setup in my EK hatch and actually bought teinSS for it over christmas break (im actually thinking about selling them but thats another story). the fact ive came to realize through different racing classes/programs and stuff is that buying all these suspension tweaks arent neccessarily needed, especially when youre just learning the ropes.
on ebay, i bought a cpillar bar and rear lower strut bar becuase ive heard these are the two that are sapposed to be most noticable (others are free to disagree). I spent less than 40$ for both shipped to my house and are very rigid, especially considering the price. front strut bars are a bitch to fit well with h22s ive found (especially for EK's). sway bars im sure would be a nice touch for driving, but to be honest i think you'd be spending alot of money for what you might not even notice. i had a deal set up to buy sways but ended up declining. i wouldnt suggest spending much money before you get a good feel for your car. the fact is, some people (or at least the instructors told me) will find they want to focus on one area of suspension, and that tends to be personal preference to how you drive. people complain about the h22 being a "hog" but it really doesnt handle that bad, and i havent even gotten a chance to toss the TeinSS's on (due to college).
especially if youre planning on dragging too, i wouldnt suggest spending much money on suspension becuase you might find yoruself hating one and wanting to go into the other after a year or two and i think we all can agree spring rates are totally different for drag and autoX.

Some good camber alignment adjustment parts, and a camber gauge would be a good idea. If you are autocrossing, how your tires are contacting the track is a primary concern. You can stiffen your car up all the live long day, but if you are rolling over the sides of your tires, that money was all wasted.

i dont know much about camber but doesnt negative camber help with traction? or is that another myth that people spread on the interent?
97civicracer - i think im going to get a few things but not much... and i agree that the h22 doesnt handle all that bad even with just my teins...
any input is appreciated... just trying to learn a few things about suspension mods

Negative camer is nothiong but good for Autocrossing, however too much or too less can be bad, too much and you may be comprimised your braking or accelorating, too little and you are not using your contact patch on your tires to the fullest.
