smoking from steering wheel

smoking from steering wheel

Anyone have an idea why once and a while when I start my car it makes a frying sound, then a little smoke comes out? It only does once a great while it comes from the plastic shroud behind the steering wheel

maybe the airbag is about to deploy?

take it to a shop, how are we, on an internet board, going to help you diagnose that??
