coolant leaking, foam in rad
just parked my car and left it for 20minutes, went back and it's got a puddle of coolant on the ground, and inside the rad there is a foamy substance, much like dish soap, what could be the problem, cant seem to locate the leak from above so any help would be great
Could possibly be a blown headgasket -
Fill it up again and see if you have bubbles in your coolant. Combustion pressure could be leaking into your cooling passage.

well it looks like it's comming from the drivers side, cuz of where the coolant is , ive heard it could be the water pump? any help would be great, the car makes a bit of a squeel, like near the belts so i think it may be the water pump! any help would be great. what sort of noise would i be lookin for to tell of a water pump failure?
Top off your coolant with water. Start the car up and have a looksy. You sould see some collant drip and that will tell you where the leak is coming from.

Yes, that is a distinct possibility also - especially since it's leaking in that area.
There are two weep holes that are designed into the waterpump that will leak when the waterpump bearing is worn.
Look here:

If you have to change the waterpump, and you are close to needing to change the timing belt, you might as well do both. One fail swoop and you won't have to worry about either for another 90k miles.
Hope this helps.

it does help a bunch, thanks guys, it's goin to the shop today, cuz i aint f'n with the timing. So do the squealling almost like a bad belt, indicate the bearings could be gone?
im not sure of the timing on the last change(waterpump) so it could be factory, and i just hit 160000kms the other day, so i guess thats my best bet. What sort of cost would i be lookin at in a shop?

check your oil..
if its low chances are you blew a headgasket and some of your oil has now mixed with your coolant, causing your reservour to overfill and leak onto the ground

the rad is dry? is that what your talkin about? cuz the overflow resivoir is pretty much normal level, it looks like the rad has beed drained
the fluid leaking is bright *** green, it doesn't look contaminated with oil

i just meant that it could be possible that if the headgasket sprung a leak, the added fluid in your cooling system (oil) could cause your overflow reservour to literally overflow the container and exit onto the ground. It could still be bright green because what was pushed out hasn't mixed with the oil yet. DID YOU CHECK YOUR OIL????
While I deffinately recommend checking the oil, you can blow a headgasked and have no oil/coolant mix. I know, cause it happened to me.
But you know what? I changed my oil right after I put a new head gasket on.

well i checked the oil and it was towards the lower level, but damn was it ever black? it's just about due, but this oil was black like the ace of spades. So i assume it could be the fact the oil change is due but dunno find out later today.
