D16 build up- Honda Expert Advice please…
I have a 90 civic dx auto, for the most part…crap, but I like the car a lot, nice like old school rap. So someone I know swapped the motor in their CRX for a B16 and I acquired his D16, ecu and 5spd tranny so what I’m asking of everyone with knowledge of building up a D16 is what parts and upgrades should I include on this motor during the rebuild. For example what pistons should I get, should I mill the head, what cam, injectors etc. For the tranny is there any thing I should do before swapping that in?
The reason I choose the D16 was I had a 91 CRX Si before and felt it had enough power for what I need to do, which is travel back and forth from school, and possibly SCCA solo1-2 race in a stock/street mod class, I’m building this up for long term use, trying to conserve money, and the love for the car hinders my desire for anything different
