just wondering how many guys & girls have girl friends and boy friends that own Type R's in this fourm, And does it have it's up's and downs, What are thay if you dont mind me asking. And for you guys & girls that dont have that other, you can reply to this too and how you feel about it.

 

My girlfriend owns a Type R and posts here. In fact she's why I post at Honda-Tech.

No big ups or downs. If she didn't own a Type R it'd be a Supra or an Elise or something... all fun cars have similar communities and similar issues

The main thing is her concern about the car being stolen...

Is there something specific you were looking for?

Edit - It's nice that she owns a different type of "fun" car as we can swap. That's a definite perk.

It's fun. We can go to the track together, work on our cars together, swap tips on driving and chat each others' ears off about 'em. We both understand what it's like to dump thousands into these 4-wheeled money guzzlers and get/give fun car related stuff for christmas and birthdays. I let him drive my caR on the track and he lets me drive hiS. He understands my paranoia and gives me a spot in the garage and checks up on it in the night for me.

I couldn't date a guy who didn't understand my obsession. So it is good.

i love my R. i wouldnt have it any other way. my gf on the other hand would rather have me drive a geo metro. beatness.

 

My girlfriend hates my caR. She agrees its nice, but gets mad at me because all I wanna do is talk about the R alot of the time.

Also, she thinks I spend too much money on it, so I gotta hide sometimes when I do things to it. hehe

Indeed I am a fortunate soul. It's not often that you get to meet someone that shares your interests and is very compatible in other critical areas as well.

She is a good driver too, so that's nice. I can just ride along and enjoy the trip. She knows the proper apex, etc.

I suspect she'd say she's fortunate as well, but that's another story.
