C&R racing radiator with air conditioning?
You can do this. It's easier than you think
Here is what you do:
You will obviously be taking off the stock radiator, radiator fan and A/C condensor fan.
You will then install the aftermarket radiator and your aftermarket radiator fan that goes with it. You will have to get another aftermarket fan but your going to need a 'pusher' type. Install this on the front of your A/C radiator...and your good to go.

Is the pusher-type fan needed or can I do with just the C&R rad fan?

Personally I agree. I even live in Hawaii = 90 deg every day. I've always removed the AC.
To answer your question PROJECT X, it would be best if you installed a seperate fan.
