Help: Putting a 97 GSR complete motor into 97' EK civic/What you guys do for exhaust? Using DC sports header 4-1. it's almost the last thing I have to do, i almost have a foot gap between the header and mid-pipe. I also have to put the canadian SIR cat on for the O2. Do I have to do aftermarket fabrication for exhaust to work? like add a pipe? or is there anything out there that I can use OEM wise?

 

you have to get a pipe made. if you dont have emissions, simulate your 2nd o2, and run no cat.

 

If you have to use an OEM cat, then you'll just have to go to a muffler shop and get some custom piping done. Just shop around. I basically had the same thing done. At one shop they wanted to charger me $80, while another only charged me $20.

 

Go to ebay and look up civic exhaust. They sell a pipe that takes the place of the cat, it bolts right in and costs about 40dollars. Its called a test pipe or somethin.
