witch n1 style muffler 3" muffler to buy?
witch muffler you guys recommend me to buy i am looking for one that is 3"to 3.5" single tip. with a deep tone sporty sound but not to loud either kinda like in this clip http://www.exhaustsoundclips.c...k.mp3
Go on ebay, and look for the megan racing N1. I have the 2.5" version on a turbocharged application. It looks and sounds great, and it was only $65 shipped.

i was thinking of this type of setup running same diameter as my jdm itr header all the way to the axle back without using cat or resonator.
might be alot of buzzing sound from the exhuast but more buzzing more power!

it depends are you going with full catback or just a universial muffler. if your just going with the weld on muffler then get it from ebay. other wise you pay for what you get. if you go with a full catback it will have a resanator and i would not buy off ebay get it fro morepowerracing.com very cool people.

Please tell me your car is turbo, and you are not going to put 3" to 3.5" exhaust on a NA motor. If it's not turbo, it'll be FAR from deep, sporty, and not loud.

You have no need for 3"+ exhaust. It may actually slow you down. If you plan on upgrading the internals of your b16, you would at most need 2 1/2", if I were you, i would go 2 1/4". You want some backpressure on a NA motor. Also, the lower your displacement, and the larger the pipe, the louder and more fart can like your car will be. That is not a performance sound at all, and anyone who knows about cars can hear that a mile away. Its like the mating call for ricers here in Memphis. Btw, piece together a full cat back system at kteller.com

I have the APEXi N1 60mm 90mm. I did a custom header back setup. I used a 2.25" pipe on mine. I have a SOHC D16 Z6 and it is extreamly loud. I lost a little bottom end but gained mid to top end.
If you run a 3" pipe and a 3" muffler I promise you will loose bottom, mid, and top end power. Plus if you go with a 3" pipe it is going to be so loud. Just go with a 2.25" or a 2.5" exhaust. Eaither one, there both the same. You need backpressure on a NA motor.

i want to put only a muffler on stock headers and exhaust system. how would it be i guess it won't be as loud as yours. i am not looking for something to loud just with a nice deep tone sound. will any universal muffler 2.25" like megan or some ebay muffler do the same?
