Well, i wake up this mornin and look out at my car and i notice that the drivers window looks really clear like it's not there. But i didn't think anything of it cuz this isn't a high theft area or anything. So i go take a shower and get ready for work and when i went out to start and clean off the snow, what do i see, window smached. I thought maybe it was the wind blew a brank into it cuz it was windy as **** last night. But then i looked up and saw my hood was popped. I opened it up and saw that they tried to take my AEM intake and Optima battery. I also noticed that my fake mugen oil cap was gone. Nothing else. Everything in the car was there. I had a CD booklet on the front pass. seat, a blockbuster movie, my wallet which i forgot to take out last night. I have an alarm and it went off and it was ****** cold too so i think thats why there was only the cap missing. This just sucks. I've never had my car broken into before. I'm just SOOO HAPPY that the cars still there. Is there anything i can do to stop them from opening my hood?

You didnt hear the alarm going off??(maybe ur one of the lucky ones like me who lives in an apt building but on the other side, not facing the parking lot)

I would look into an alarm with a 2 way pager...
just a idea though

 

be happy they were some shitty thieves, you coulda been fucked out of your car

you could relocate the hood release from the front, to the side.
that kinda slows a thief down

 

Re, rought you cable into you glove box. Its kinda hard, but noone can open it becuase they dont know where it is, and the glovebox can lock...sometimes. I saw a thread devoted to integra theft protection, i think it was on team-integra.com, but im not sure. It evaluated fuel cut off, alarms, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

yea protect ur hood for them not to open it, and they will just take the whole car instead.. locking ur hood make thieves think that u hiding sumthin important underhood that is very valuable.but anyways u can relocate the latch of ur hood too or u can relocate the button to open up ur hood... so mine as well get a better alarm, kill switch, battery backup and relocate it for ur alarm, or maybe if u can park ur car inside the garage do it.. i think thats the best thing u can do to protect ur car.. gud luck !

but also not being able to open the hood will prevent them from either cutting the wires to your alarm horn or disconnecting your battery to cut the alarm.

so i think relocate, siren of ur alarm, relocate hood latch, relocate the button to open up ur hood, and battery back up for ur alarm will help.. and of course a full coverage insurance...

yeah, I some people break into mine a while back. Took my friggin cold-air intake, my stereo head unit, and tried to take my stock front bumper. Idiots... Sorry to hear you got broken into... Karma'll get them, if not, lemme know, I'll get them!-ekzrated
