Default headwork..getting valve job on gsr head what else should be done?

i'm sending my 94gsr head to portflow for valve job, along with it i'm getting hondata intake manifold gasket, and skunk2im with overbore throttle body to 64mm to match the IM. I was told to also get a bowl blend, but what exactly is performed on that does anyone know? Should I also get the ports of the IM match to the head, is that necessary or just tell to match the intake and exhaust ports to the gasket? thanks

Well the valve job will help alot. The bowl blending will drop your compression VERY slightly. It cleans up the sharp edges that surround the valve reliefs and with some places, they will polish the bowl or combustion chamber.

Port matching the intake and exhaust will help too.. but weigh the performance gains vs. price vs price of a full head job.

Might also want to consider getting oversized valves....

so you're saying port matching the intake or exhaust ports wont help much, and its expensive? how much does it cost do to this anyway?
