Expo 5 Photos - Erik Anderson Designs
All,
My name is Erik Anderson and am owner of Erik Anderson Designs, a midwest photo outfit specializing in motorsports photography. I've been speaking with Wes and the Expo coordinators on providing professional photography for Expo5 . Briefly, I'm equipped to to burn image CDs and print up to 13"x19" prints on-site. I work with labs to print 20x30 posters and beyond.
I would like to tailor print and/or digital packages to your needs if that's of interest, otherwise, I can provide everything a la carte. I'm interested in what feedback you have so I can provide what you would most like to leave the Expo with. Here's a few photos from our autocross this past weekend. I look forward to your feedback on the Expo! Thank you!

I would alsobe interested in some quality pics of my r on the track

I'd plan on being there both track days over the weekend as well as any other events (e.g. the banquet). Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm sure that Wes or one of the coordinators could discuss voting. I will mention some of the advantages that I bring to the event:
-I'm only photographing the event, not driving. It allows me to focus on getting solid shots of everyone.
-I have an assistant who can review photos with you during the day as the event progresses
-I can print & burn on-site with the plan that most if not all orders will be complete by Sunday afternoon.
-I guarantee that you'll be more than satisfied with your purchase.
-I'll have free beer in my EZ-UP (juuuust kidding).
I'm very interested in being part of Expo5 and look forward to additional feedback. Thank you!

I have shot @ Hallett & TWS. Those photos are not currently online nor are they with the higher quality equipment that I currently have. Is there a specific style or angle that you were looking for an example of? I suggest taking a look at my North Texas S2K autocross galleries from 2004 for high speed examples. Mineral Wells is square 1/4 mile of concrete and depending on the course is ~1.3 miles IIRC. You can see examples of my panning techniques in those galleries: http://www.erikandersondesigns.com/gallery.htm Thank you!

Is anybody starting to get the feeling that the Expo Committee is working hard for this expo???
BudMan - who's thrilled to be helping to bring some new & exciting features. Still working on many other details yet to be released!!!!!

Thanks for the compliments! I try to mix things up with the non-racing parts of the events since it's really about the people and experiences there. I'll have an assistant with me which will allow me to concentrate on shooting all day both on and off the track.

I'm interested in what feedback you have so I can provide what you would most like to leave the Expo with.

just one suggestion, how about shooting it with a little slower shutter speed or the panning technique to capture the "motion" instead of "freezing" the moment.

Just keep the camera away from the camping grounds... it's like that Vegas commercial, what happened there, stays there.
