I have a 96 hatch w/ B16 that i purchased about 4 months ago so far it has been running good and no problems. Last night and I came home removed the key from the ignition and to my surprise the engines is still running?!?!?! But the car shuts off after I turned my headlights off..wtf so I started the car up again this time without any headlights and then turn it off , the engine turns off without any problems. Then I tried again this time with the headlight on then turn the motor off and removed the key and once again the car stays running.. then I turn the headlights off that's when the motor shuts off.
What the hell is is going on with my car?

 

I'm guessin you have an electrical problem...lol

Possibly something with your headlights is shorting something?

 

replace the igniton switch

 

Do you have an alarm with the remote start? same thing happened to one of my car, and it was the damm remote start messing it up.

ya if you got an alarm i think it has something to do with that. cause that **** aint right..lol

 

check all under the dash wiring, had the same **** happen to me and 2 wires were touching that werent suppose to
