Just a guess....but I bet the wiring will have to be mostly all custom.

Yea..the d17 is like the black sheep of the d-series family, but hey if you can get the swap done for cheap then go for it. The motors still new so theres not much out there. I did see that theyve been doing y8 IM swaps on the d17 however. So slap on the y8 IM and turbo that bitch.

The only reason that I can think of that the d16 would be better would be the OBD1 ecu and the fact that you can Hondata it. Other than that the d17would have .10L more displacement and so no it is not better

Sorry as far as the actual swap goes the chasis is different so you would have to have different engine mounts (big reason why you don't see d17 to B swaps). This would be a bitch to custom and/or cost you alot of $ to buy. You would also have to get the ECU and axles as well. SO you would gain a bit (newer engine and Vtec), but it is a difficult swap. A b swap would cost the same and = more hp

Woopity doo
The only thing the d17 is good for, if you ask me, is fuel economy
Tiny pistons, plastic intake manifold...yeah, its "better"

dude, they make the same hp to the crank. I would make my entire engine out of plastic if it worked that would be a very light engine

d17 is a returnless fuel system, i would see it being a big problem.

as far as the tinny pistons go they have close to the same compression so there is no difference. And the plastic engine that is what you would call a JOKE, but a plastic manifold does not hurt anything unless you want to crank your CAI down to 100+ trq lbs

uhhh the d16 is better than the d17 for performance period, there is barely any aftermarket support for that motor, and lots of the d16 parts wont fit on the d17 such as exhaust manifolds, you can't use hondata or uberdata with the ecu and the compression is higher than optimal for boost. But hey it must be better because it has more power STOCK at the CRANK

That's garbage, people swap K-series (returnless) into EG/EK all the time. You just need an adjustable FPR to connect the return line to.
