Default Turbo Charging an RSX

What's the best Turbo Kit available for an 03 RSX type S? Any feedbacks, positive or negative will be greatly appreciated.
I already have done a Hondata Reflash, would I need to send it back to them?

I have a Cybernation Kit, and....

It SUCKS!!! The plugs and the injectors they give you fucked up my profec-b and my ecu. They use cheap parts for the intercooler pipes, and NONE, not one, of the pipes fit. not even the downpipe fit the exhaust correctly.

Don't waste your time.

All of them have their pros and cons.
I had the greddy kit and liked it very much.
I dyno'd at 303 whp and 270 tq on a dyno jet and sae corrected.
the kit is high quality but it comes with the emanage which in my opinion is garbage and 440cc injectors which are maxed @ 7psi! Hondata is the way to go and if you have a reflash, all you have to do is send it in and pay an extra 500 and they'll send you the K-pro.
Cybernation does use cheap parts for their IC, but the turbo they use is pretty good and can reach some impressive #(60-1)
HKS does have a nice kit and is very comparable to the greddy kit.
Rev hard I have no idea.
its all about $$$.
If all you have is 5K buy the greddy kit-hondata and a boost controller... you can always go used too.

Full-Race make excellent quality turbo kits... (Custom is the way to go)
Greddy is nice but IMHO the benefits of the kit such as the injectors and emanage are basically pointless. If you are looking for a reliable setup it is best to use a KPRO and get your car tuned for lonegevity.

I guess the foundation to any turbo setup or anything forced induction is TUNING, so before "I" would purchase a blower, turbo, or perform any modifications, I would have a KPRO and good tuner on hand.

Have you checked http://www.clubrsx.com/ ?
In their forums is a section dedicate to forced induction and it has examples of pretty much all the setups around.

As a previous user of a CN kit I can honestly say its not worth the price. The Intercooler pipes corroded on me, the pipes do not fit, your going to have to modefy them, their FMU unit is a peice of crap (guardian) and their injectors are low impedance which eventually will fry your ecu. Get a greddy kit or if your a baller lmao get an HKS.

I've got a CN kit on my RSX, its nothing special, people really like Guardian since you don't have to pay extra for tuning, but I don't trust it and went with K-Pro anyway. I had HELL getting the pipping to fit though. But good power from a good setup.

If I had it to do over again, I'd go HKS or Greddy, and now I'd keep my eye on Full-Race, my friend in a Full-Race GSR wh00ps me every time.

I would definetly spend the extra $$ on a setup from full race. High quality stuff.

Why does everyone swear by the Greddy Kit, it is a bolt on simple turbo kit, no more...
I have seen 524whp out of a cybernation kit, I challenge someone to show me the same on a Greddy manifold. As for the emanage as soon as all you boost crazed RSX owners want to turn up the boost it becomes useless.

Do a little homework, and piece together a turbo kit, don't go with a greddy just because someone tells you it comes with everything you need.

werd up. I went with greddy!!!! years of modding cars goes a long way for me. Experience is #1. I dont like cybernation looks very cheap but some of the numbers look good. their intercoolers look very crappy tho.

Because it IS bolt on, all those kits claim to be bolt on, only 2 of them actually are.

The power difference is in the Turbine itself, not the manifold. Although the Cybernation manifold may be better than GReddys...Cybernations is still by no means top notch. Are you saying that 500whp cant be made from a GReddy manifold? If you could find a higher flowing turbo to fit on the GReddy manifold then with enough boost it could be done...saying that it cant is ignorant.

about 99% of the people using GReddy kits on K-series run K-pro...everyone knows that. Guardian is nothing more than a black boxed emanage that slaps your map sensor for doing its job.

Um... we tell people it comes with everything you need because it does.

Couldnt agree more with 8600RPM... Most of the Greddy owners run K pro with it. The only thing keeping that kit from making past 300WHP is the turbo they use. If you were to slap a T3 Flange on the manifold, and a bigger turbo then you will hit 500whp.

As per the term bolt on, that means you have to do nothing to make the kit fit correctly. The greddy kit follows that definition. With the CN kit the intercooler pipes dont fit, You have to paint the U bends because if not they corrode, and Ive heard in some cases that the downpipe doesnt align correctly. Not to mention the oil lines specially the return line is Extremely short and more than likely you will have to make another return yourself. How do I know this because I was a CN kit owner. Sold it and now am going Custom using the Greddy intercooler/pipes.

I personally know nothing of the fitment and quality issues of Cybernation. I have however seen a few dyno sheets producing decent power with a nice high flowing turbo. The fact that the manifold is able to facilitate a higher flowing turbo would make it more useful to me than a Greddy setup.

Greddy kits I have heard are top notch in quality, but imo are lacking in turbo selection and engine management. After you spend the time and money to upgrade the injectors, buy a KPro, and purchase a T4 or T3 flange to get a Greddy Manifold to support a higher flowing turbo, then upgrade the turbo & downpipe, you might as well have bought a Full-Race setup and selected all the components individually. It would be more cost effective and of better quality (IMO).

It is not my ignorance that leads me to say that Greddy Kits would not do 500whp, because it most certainly could, but there are a lot of IFs involved.

In case you have not noticed, I am a fan of Full-Race, and being that they are fabrication shop they can and would make a complete "Bolt on" setup for the RSX, actually I think they already do.
