I received a ticket for my exhaust being to loud. Does any one know if they reduce the fine if you have the problem fixwed?

 

If you pass theyll reduce it to 0.

 

you can get your exhaust tested for the amount of decibels it puts out,if you do that and it doesnt reach what is illegal(i think like 93 decibels is illegal),the ticket will just be dismissed.

otherwise,check to see if the cop but "correctable" or "non-correctable" on the ticket.

you will probably have to take your exhaust off,put stock on,go to chp office,pay the 10 bucks,they will check it,then it will be written off.

if you dont go to chp then you will just have to send full amount of what the ticket is

 

I went down to the local police station and they signed off and stamped the ticket. Do you know if they will reduce it now.??????

 

If your decibel level is below 95 then you shouldn't have to pay ANYTHING, because it's legal.

Once you get it fixed it should be gone . It is basically a fix it ticket . If you fix it before your court date you should be in the clear . make sure the court knows !

 

i forget, contact (email) SEMA, i believe some smog shops are able to certify... carry the certificate with you next time.. if you get pulled over.. show him that sh** and say FUGG OFF! lol then he'll probably write you up for 10 other BS items... lol intake... too low... engine swap... haha

contact california air resources board they will provide a location and date for any exhaust to tested
