whats the pro con for drop in filter in a auto tranny car? how it compare to cai or sri?

are you talking about a k&n air filter? a cai places the element outside the engine bay thus getting cooler air, a short ram adds a little torque

what im asking is, i have been told that a drop in filter will benifit more to a auto tranny car than cai or sri.. im wondering why?
