i have a 91 civic std (ick) with the dpfi. it used to be my brother's car, which is why i had to replace all the breaks/lines, clutch, alternator and such. he was a bad driver. anyway, when you first start it up, it idles low low low, around 400 it sounds like, then it stalls. second try it idles i little longer, still rough, and shakes the car alot. i can get it up to normal idle speed if i literally rest my foot on the gas, but as soon as i remove it it bogs back down. however, after the engine gets up to temp and i have been driving it, it idles just fine. the exhaust only smells like its running rich when the idle is bogging down, but after it heats up there is no gas smell. WHAT THE HELL IS IT!!?!?!?!?!

any help would be great. ps. its bone stock. no mods. still has the 4 speed . ha.

check #14 fuse

and the EACV it regulates fast idle when the car is cold

can try to spary a bunch of carb cleaner in the intake and see if it improves.

check all vaccumm lines.
