Default tire size..

I posted this question in this form cuz these tires gotta control H22 powa!! Any how my ques' is how wide of a tire can I fit on a 15x5.5 inch rim. I ask because my beloved Azenis are coming out with a 225/50/15 tire. Right now I have the standard 205/50/15 tire but I feel that it is not a wide enough foot print for my car.(4th gen Accord) I auto cross and more frequently run the local canyons and I feel a wider tire will help my stability and traction. Personally I think 225 is over kill and I prefer 215, but what are ya gonna do??

Get some 16x7s or so...then you can put wider tires on them.

you can mount a 225/50 on a 5.5" wheel, however, you won't be gaining much in terms of contact patch size. it might be an improvement over a 205 or a 195, however you're best served by going with a 7" rim, especially if you're interested in cornering performance.
