Default SO CALI: One day paint and body.

http://www.1daypaint.com/1daycenterlocations.html

I was wondering if any memebers on here have ever painted their cars there before? My friend and I wanted to know how did your car come out and if they did a good job.

Also wondering if we can get the information to which city in the L.A. county did you guys take your cars too.

Thanks alot.

I have, they did an awesome job. I went to the one in Downey. The thing is they use cheap single stage paint if you don't know much about paint. That means the clear coat is mixed in with the paint and it won't every be 100% match and deep as the color you really want. If you do plan on getting it done there, I suggest you take good care of it and pick a non-metallic basic color.

I have some buddys that paint and usually its best to let the car sit in order for everything to dry properly

i dunno man.. you don't really want to go cheap on paint...i wouldn't paint my whole car for less than 1000. Then again if people say its good then.. try it and tell us.

i live 3 minutes away from the downey one, and i've talked to a couple of the paintors... what it is is the more you pay, the better the job you get...

those $300 jobs are pretty good, but i want at least a 3 stage... and one of the guy's said that if i remove the paint myself and get my own paint, he will charge me $500... so i will probably pay about $800 parts and labor... (i need new fenders, bumpers, and hood...)

so yeah... i've seen rick's work and he's pretty good... well... all of them are... all they do is paint, they have to learn how to be good at it...
