Default Newbie need advice

Hi, Im from australia and am new to this forum. I am also new to the art of modding a car. I know a bit but hope i can get advice in this forum.

I just bought a 96 civic gli sedan and have a bit of money to spend on the car and was wondering what you would recommend as good starting out mods.

I was also thinking about getting these few mods (any opinions on these?)

High flow pod filter

a good body kit (buddyclub2?)

c-nine 17x7 rims

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

With questions like that you better run for the hills.

Make your car fast, not fast looking.

for starter u can buy intake and headers after that u can start off with handling and then internal mods piston, rods, cam, or might as well just get a new engine n swap it in if u have money save u the trouble. After engine swap all u do is drive

Consider a B18C2 or B18C7 engine swap.

you know people, not everyone out there is looking to make their honda a racecar. maybe he rather have the looks than the speed... so before tellin him to change his motor and do engine work ask what he wants first.

so why not buy a mild looking body kit, and depending on what engine is already in your car, if it is a sohc vtec then mod it a little (header, intake, exhaust, mild cam) then do some wheels, and suspension

oh yea, and if its non-vtec sohc, swap that thing out, id still insist that u AT LEAST swap to a b-series, and if not turbo that single cam... and 17 inch wheels are BAD, go with 15 or 16, little car+big wheels=looks gay and moves slow

if you live where the roads arent smooth dont do a body kit. just lower it and put a lip kit on it get yourself some nice wheels and you will be happy. As far as engine mods start out with a intake headers and a full exhaust with a high flow cat

Yeah, buy what you want. Who cares if Honda-Tech doesn't approve of your car. You spend your money on it and put the work in, so you do what you want with it.

yeah full exhaust is definately the way to go, besides that just keep it clean, but like the others said bumps will tear a kit apart, i know.
