What is the ECU looking box in the trunk of my 94 civic automatic 4drs?
its in the passenger side and behind the trunk lining.

 

CD changer?

 

on the back of the seats??

 

probably cd changer

maybe an amp?

 

ABS computer.

Im assuming you have an EX.

Could be ABS, but I got my money on flux capacitor.

the reason i am asking is cuz my LS swapped civic's auto tranny aint shifting it stays in first gear and i was told by a mechanic that maybe the car has a seperate ecu for the tranny and that could be the problem. so i notice that the same day i was told this and i was wondering if it was that. but i do have ABS so i guess it is that since ya should know.

Is there another ECU just for the automatic tranny in civic's?

 

Look in the passenger side footwell...right under the glove box , under the carpet..Big *** plate with the ecu and if its not obd2 a tranny control unit..If its built right in the ecu{obd2} you have to but a whole new one..
