well i did some search but came up a lil confused.....so heres the deal.... i got a ef...with no drive train. i'm getting the jdm d15b vtec. i got a hf/dx trany with the 21 spline. i know the d15b does not come with a flywheel and if it does is from an auto tranny. i got a a6 flywheel and a z6 flywheel. can this set up work...d15b, hf/dx tranny, a6 flywheel and a6 axels? how bout the clutch? what clutch should i use? 88 crx si, hf/dx......? or any hybrid?
pretty sure it all bolts up fine..
dseries are all interchangeable..
but I do know that there are some "black sheep" in the 80's years of dseries that dont bolt up..
so can't say for 100%

The a6 flywheel will bolt up fine. I used the same one in my hatch. As for the clutch, you should use a clutch for whatever tranny you are using.

~BUZZER~Wrong.
88 Had 21 Splined clutches, it was in the neighborhood of 200mm.
89 had 20 splines, same clutch diameter.
90-91 had 20 splines, 212mm diameter.
Now you can use a 90-91 Flywheel with 88-89 Clutch/PP combo but not the other way around.

so it does not matter if i use a smaller clutch? i have the 90 si flywheel (212mm diameter) but i need the 88 Clutch/PP combo (21 Splined clutchese neighborhood of 200mm)? the tranny that i have is 21 spline. should i get the 88 crx si clutch/pp? or the 88 hf/dx clutch/pp combo? and how about the axels? i have the a6 si axels.

This is where I always end up for this info, and it says that '88 is the total odd ball. You need all '88 stuff, unless you can get a 212mm pp to fit your 21 spline tranny (But, I don't even know if they make such a thing.) You axles should be fine.
