Default Clutch...

I was just wondering...if i installed racing clutch do i need to break it in..

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! u need to break in all new clutches, at least 500 miles of stop and go driving, not highway miles

"Hypothetically speaking?" Not a whole ton, but you really need to break them in easy so that the flywheel and the clutch mate up even.

well friend that has a really quick rx7 just got his car back from a-spec in Chicago and they installed a flywheel and clutch, and they told him to break it in.
we were diving around(breaking clutch in) and a camero was all up his ***, so at the next toll he said that he would race him just once, so the toll opened and he dropped the hammer, 1st gear went good 2nd went good(doesn't matter where the camero was he was prolly still letting the clutch out) but 3rd gear didn't go so good at 4000rpm( that's when boost hits) the car just red lined,(that would b the clutch slipping) so he let off gas and the car smelled bad,
that's the only clutch breaking in Ive ever experienced, don't know if he has a puck clutch but id break it in just to b safe
