i have a y8 tranny and it pops out of 2nd gear like on every other shift. it doesnt grind in any gear. and i just filled it with new mtf. i have a spare 94 dx tranny and the fork isnt bent. could i use this one in the y8 tranny?

 

I fell ya, My tranny pops out of second gear to. I'm pretty sure all d-series trannys are swapable.

 

that would be my guess, but i dont want to rip apart 2 trannies and be tranny less and not be able to drive

 

I just hold mine in second gear. Gotta show it who's boss

 

i do and it like forces its way out sometimes and grinds, so i have to let go.

Yeah all d series trannies are interchangeable. However if it is just your shifter fork and you do not want to pillage your other tranny the forks are pretty cheap (about $30) new from honda. Just replace the fork if it is messed up.
