gas tank
hi. has anyone done anything to stop the gas from sloshing around in the tank during a race?
at this past autoX(1st one with the car) i was right below half and after i passed the finish, it was below the E line. when i got back to line it was back to just below half again.
thanks b

Depends on what class you run in... If you're Stock or STS/2, can't really do anything other than run more fuel. Although half-a-tank should be fine for an auto-x. Are you actually experiencing fuel starvation yet? From the scenario you described, it sounds like it's sloshing enough to give a temporary low reading on the guage sender. You can see this on the street sometimes depending on the road incline or after a sudden braking maneuver. As long as the fuel pump pickup isn't to the point of sucking air causing starving during the run, I wouldn't worry.
User "Mayhem" was having a fuel pressure problem with an STS Civic and some related comments/suggestions on fuel level in the 88-91 cars were made here:

If you're in SM/SM2 and (I think) Street Prepared, you can go with a fuel cell or modify the stock tank in some way (weld in baffles or use the foam).
