Default Thinking about buying, or leasing, new Accord, advice please.......

Hello everybody!

I am new to this forum, having come from Audiworld.com.
I have to say one thing, I hope that everyone here is a little more tolerant than the audiworld guys. I love audi, but some of the owners drive me insane.

Here is my question: I am going to try to sell the 99 A6 with 84000 miles, perfect condition for what I owe on it. I am really trying to decide between one of three different cars and any input would be greatly appreciated.

The three cars are the 05 Accord EX V-6, no nav. in Silver w/ black (the one I am leaning towards) and the Subaru Outback and the Toyota Camry. All similarly equipped.

I am just wondering about the reliability and dependability of these cars. One of the reasons I am getting rid of the Audi is that even though I love the AWD and all of the passion, it is just becoming a money pit. I am a stickler for maintenance and even still I find I am in the shop more than I should be.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Larrs

The new accords are very fast and handle pretty decent, from what I understand. Reliability is excellent as well. Trouble with your Audi is volkswagons oh so famous electrical problems, hah.

As for the other two cars, Subaru outbacks are beautiful cars. If you're looking at subaru though, I'd be all over a new Legacy.

As for the Camry, I feel that toyota has lost it's japanese spirit and become far too domestic like.

Oh yeah......

I have driven all of these cars, and yes, by far the Subaru Legacy GT 2.5 was the fastest. Scary fast for what it is. But it didn't seem as well put together as the Accord, not as solid. Although none have the fit and finish of German cars, I am simply asking for reliability on all of them, especially the accord and subaru, since I know nothing of the subie's.

i have a modified 99 accord v6 that id be willing to part with. the money youd save by getting it over an 05 accord would be enough for say... a j35 block with cl type-s heads.
also, the 6th gen is lighter than the 7th gen.

As far as reliability goes, Honda is at the top...Only toyota can compare IMO, but Toyotas have lost there excitement to me. Drive the accord V6 w/ a 6 speed and drive a camry.
I worked at a honda dealer as a tech and let me tell you...I never had work!
Those cars never really break down. Brake pads and the normal maintenances are mostly what you see. After about 80K miles MAYBE an oilpan gasket or a valvecover gasket...

Go to the dealership and talk to the technicians. Get the inside scoop from people who service them daily...

Toyotas are the same way. Excellent reliability. Very rarely have major mechanical failure...
