Default Mysterious Oil Leak

A couple of months ago I hit something on the freeway, which caused damage to my shift rod, transmission, and CV joint. I had it all replaced, the day after I got my car back, I noticed an oil leak on my drive way. My drive way is an incline, and my car only leaks on incline. I took it back to the shop thinking it was the transmission seal but the shop determined that the transmission was fine. They told me that oil leak looks like engine oil. I checked my oil level, seemed normal before, just now I've noticed it has decreased. The shop told just to be sure, put a cardboard underneath the car to see where the oil is leaking from.

The leak is coming from between the engine block and the transmission, but the oil drips down to the front side of the tranny. What could possibly cause this leak?

Ussually if it is on the front side of the tranny it is a cam seal or the VTEC solenoid.

But since it started after you hit something it could also be the oil pan??.. Clean it up real good, drive it briefly and then check.

yeah definitely check out your oil pan first. if not, then it might be your main seal.

I would say its coming from the main seal. I have the same problem after I got my tranny rebuilt.
