you will have to convert to obd1 to run the p28. im not sure but i think u can get the jumper wires to adapt from obd to obd1.

Hello,
If you do want to go OBD1 for a P28, Rywire.com has everything you need.
We may even be able to supply you with a P28 for $160

It is probably not the ecu causing the high idle. Have you adjusted the idle, cleaned the IACV??

Clean the IACV out. It is on the back of the manifold. It is a cylinder with some coolant lines and an electrical connector running to it. There is a little filter inside that sometimes can get clogged and cause a high idle. Try cleaning it out with carb or brake cleaner and see what happens.

That get's back to the search function. There is a link in the upper right hand corner of the page:

https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch

Try something like OBD0-OBD1 and tell it to search this forum and probably both current and then archived posts. There is also a stickie message at the top of this forum "FAQ topics, post links here" You can check thru that too for more info..

You need a P28, OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness, and a 4 wire O2 sensor (If you don't already have one. You'll have to run 7 wires or so to the 4 wire O2, Vtec solenoid, Vtec pressure switch, etc.

Don't know what injectors you are using, but you'll need the resistor box removed if you are going to use the later model OBD1 injectors.

Cost depends... I suppose I have about $300 in parts for my conversion (Chipped P28, Blown90hatcH OBD0-OBD1 harness, new O2 sensor)

stupid question, but try disconnecting your throttle cable. people tend to attach them too tight, and that makes it idle high

your going to have the same problem with the p28 Ecu you have to fix the real problem.

Did it do it when you installed the ecu or did it just start doing it.

Check to see if your throttle cable is to tight or your throttle body is sticking try to close it by hand and see if it stops or vacuum leak.
