Vibrating wheel...what's the problem?
Hey everyone,
Have a question about a vibrating steering wheel. Did a mountain run earlier tonight, spun out, and hit the side of a mountain. Looks like all of the damage was done to the front bumper but my steering wheel shakes horribly on the freeway or at high speeds. Can anyone guess what it may be? Anything bent? My friend says it might just be my alignment is off. Thanks.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 93blkej1 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">yea its just the alingment, how hard did u hit it?</TD></TR></TABLE> Could be more serious than an alignment. Take your wheel off and make sure you didnt bend anything.
I think I glazed it. I lost control, went sideways, hit it, and rubbed it. There was a good 2 1/2 feet of dirt, twigs, and leaves stuck to the grill of my front bumper. Took everything out and it looks fine. The attachment for the passenger side of the bumper popped out and a portion of the grill was bent. But those things are easily fixed with an entire new bumper. I'm just worried about bending something. Hope it is just the alignment. Thanks.

Perhaps your wheel lost its wheel weight when u hit... Your wheel can be unbalanced as well. Check that out... Good Luck and sorry to hear about ur incident.

check everything bro all suspension,springs,tie-rods,driveaxles,cv joints, etc. you can have just a slight bend in something make sure you check real good man it could just get worst or make another problem and be careful man these honda's aren't 4x4's good luck man.
I checked the weights tonight and they're all on there. But!!! I drove it out on the freeway again and the vibration was gone. There's still a very very slight vibration but it feels like the normal one that you just can't seem to fix. But I quickly learned that it was due to my unbalanced right front tire. It was clogged with dirt as I first drove home last night and I stopped by a Shell station to clear it all up. Later that night I drove it out and it was fine. However, I am still getting an alignment done and have my suspension checked. Thanks for the help everyone.
