Need springs
Yeah I just finished up my car and I decided to use eibach springs that came with the car
.
They SUCK. I'm using KYB AGXs as my shocks. The ride right now is horrible car is like a damn limo handles like ****, too soft.
So I was wondering what springs would you recomend for KYBs? I was thinking omni-power slipover coilovers, GC coilovers, or Teins regular springs. What would you guys recomend? I know what GC feel like but they are pretty expensive ($300+). I would really like to know what omnipowers feel like.
yeah search function was down so no flaming.

first, eibach does NOT suck....second...maybe you have the pro-kit? they're made for softer rides, not nice stiff rides. try their sportline springs, they're a little more stiff, with a more aggressive drop.
also, the kyb's are adjustable....did you try that?

Yeah, unless those springs have been on the car for years, I doubt that's the real root of the problem. The KYB shocks on the other hand....not the stiffest valved shocks available. And you also could just be expecting way too much from way too little.
But seriously, if you're going to replace the springs, start looking at a sport type (Neuspeed, H&R) or the Eibach Sportlines - they should stiffen it up a little from what you have now. Ground controls are not the best match with those shocks.

yeah those that I had on were sport lines. I guess they got **** kicked out of them driving around chicago roads (which suck) with stock stock shocks.
About GC, I don't know they seem actually pretty damn good. My friend got those in his EG coupe with KYB AGXs, handles like crazy even on steelies.
What other springs do you guys recomend? I'm prolly going to pick up some from local shop tommorow. Should I go with integra rate springs (I like stiff ride), I'm also planing to swap a d out to something a little bigger so those springs would help I assume.

i would say stay with the sportlines, and adjust the agx's
its not your springs that make it soft, cause the sportlines are a little stiffer, you probably have your struts adjusted to a different setting. the eibachs have a lifetime warranty

Well, I mean, if you were expecting stiff, then it might even be more understandable why you think the sportline setup is soft.
I would second the recommendation of GCs, but I don't recommend them with those shocks...
so yeah, agreed... see if you can't adjust the AGXs a bit and maybe firm it up, at least a little bit, and if you think they have been worn a lot, maybe see about getting the springs replaced.
