Default looking for advice from current integra owners.

hi.

my crx was recently totalled and im in the market for a new car. I have been talking to a local kid sellin a 95 integra ls. i dont have any problems with the car itself. its got nice paint and gsr leather interior etc.

what i am concerned with is the weight. I have a ~210-220whp all motor build nearing completion and I dont wanna throw it all away with a heavy car.

In your opinion, is driving an integra a large disadvantage? Id be especially interested in previous ef/eg owners who now drive integras. Id have no problem driving around town in one, Im just worried its gonna cost me serious acceleration/handling losses.

Thanks for your opinions, specific examples as reinforcements are encouraged.

have had an ef. Never will an integra be as nimble. However, im happy with my current car. Integras imo are a better car.

I've always believed that going from a crx/civic to an integra is always an upgrade.

im lookin at a 91 integra rs right now. the interior/exterior is mint and the guys lettin it go pretty cheap.

suspension wise, what has to be done to make this thing handle turns like my ef's have?
the rs should be the lightest integra available. what can i do to cut this hog down from 2500lbs?

not quiet sure about suspenion wise but for weight reduction, i say remove the back seats along with the sound dentening and panels, remove the rear wiper motor, and a/c if it has it. remove spare tire if your tracking it, otherwise leave it in just in case you run into some flat tire issues.

You can get an RS down to around 2300 without too much trouble, you have to start being inventive (and somewhat street-illegal) to get too much lighter.

Well think about it this way a Civic Hatch with a GSR swap runs like what 14s? Make it 14.3 for the example...a GSR runs 14.8 stock from what I hear. So you'll be half a second, second slower with the integra at its stock weight. But like its been said before u can make it lose a few lbs
