Default Fiberglass in a high heat app?

Im thinking about building a full fiberglass intake to run the carbs on my d16 NA setup. I know that fiberglass has very high thermal properties and should stand up fine to the heat. My real question is do you think its practical. Im planing on using a thin alum. flange as a base to have a strong base to bolt to the head and then go from that with all glass to the carbs. The runners and the flanges for the carbs will be full fiberglass, im even thinking about just doing a thick layup of glass for the intake side of the flange. Think this will be strong enough to support the 25ish lbs of the carbs? Possibly even add a support like the one from factory.

Well.. one thing about fiberglass, if it catches fire it burns really hot, 1300C or so. Fiberglass catching on fire isnt that hard to do, I've done it several times. On carbs I wouldnt use fiberglass, because the carb injects gasoline with air, it'll douse the fiberglass with gasoline and one misfire spark/whaetever spark/ heat can if/and when the conditions are right ignite. I'd use alum, steel, or ss to do it.
Keep fiberglass away from flammable chemicals.

Why not just use carbon fiber?
