The passenger side popped out of the case, just like it said it would in the manual. I got to the driver side, followed procedure, balljoint is free, axle is only engaged at the intermediate shaft. I can not get it to pop out for the life of me. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is killing me.

had simular problem couple weeks ago with friends car...ended up takein axle and mid shaft both to local cv axle shop and they finaly got it apart..

 

Since you are saying you have tried everything, I assume you have attempted to hammer on the inner jt and also have used a long prybar as well. If those dont work then you may have to cut the inner boot off and pull the bearings out and leave the inner joint in the trans. Good Luck!
